Association of Graphic Designers the «4th Block» – a public association of designers, art managers interested in solving environmental problems by means of art. The Association is created on a voluntary basis in order to support and develop creative initiatives in the field of ecology, design and culture. The main task of the association is to hold the triennial of the ecological poster “The 4th Block”.
The International Triennial of the environmental, social and eco-educational poster “The 4th Block” is a unique event aimed at support of social and environmental ideas, upholding principles of sustainable development of the society and safe environmental policies through art and design. Every three years since 1991, the triennial has been accumulating and visually presenting works of designers from more than 50 countries of the world, covering various social, environmental and eco-cultural issues from different angles. By means of posters in a concise, bright and understandable form, the authors not only introduce the viewer to the eco-social issues but encourage human to think in this direction. The posters, which are submitted to the collection of the Triennial “The 4th Block” are the basis of ecological and social exhibitions and campaigns constantly held in Ukraine and abroad. These works are bright motivators of struggle for the purity of the environment, for the development of alternative energy and for the introduction of energy-saving technologies.

Асоціація дизайнерів-графіків “4й Блок” – громадське об’єднання дизайнерів, арт-менеджерів, зацікавлених в розв’язанні екологічних проблем засобами мистецтва. Ассоціація створена на добровільних засадах з метою підтримки й розвитку творчих ініціатив в області екології, дизайну й культури. Головним завдання асоціації є проведення триєнале екологічного плакату «4-й Блок».
Міжнародна триєнале екологічного, соціального та еко-освітнього плакату «4-й Блок» є унікальним заходом, направленим на просування і підтримку соціальних та екологічних ідей, відстоювання принципів сталого розвитку суспільства, та безпечної екологічної політики засобами мистецтва та дизайну. Починаючи з 1991 року кожні три роки триєнале акумулює та наочно представляє роботи дизайнерів з понад 50 країн світу, що під різними кутами висвітлюють актуальні соціальні, екологічні, та еко-культурні проблеми. За допомогою плакатів в стислій, яскравій і доступній формі автори не просто знайомлять глядача з еко-соціальною проблематикою, а спонукають його замислитись у цьому напрямку. Плакати, що надходять до колекціїї триєнале «4-й Блок», є основою екологічних і соціальних виставок та акцій, що постійно проводяться в Україні і за її межами. Ці роботи є яскравими мотиваторами боротьби за чистоту природного середовища, розвиток альтернативної енергетики та впровадження енергозберігаючих технологій.
